Fairy lights, foliage and the aged patina of decorative antiques is one of our favourite aesthetics and why we always enjoy our Christmas product shoot so much. Each year, we source pieces that we think will either make the perfect Christmas gift or add an authentic twist on festive decor.
Consider layering sprigs of fir or ivy, with bundles of cinnamon and a scattering of pinecones over one of our french marble tables or antique urns.
As well as french antique furniture, we also source original antique animal ornaments. Our collection is full of unique pieces, such as our river otter, bulldog or swan planter shown below. However, once they’re gone, they’re gone! For this reason, it’s worth signing up to our mailing list so that you’re first to know about any new items that have been added to our website.
Winter is a great time to bring garden antiques indoors. We love to fill antique pots and planters with glistening baubles and pine cones, sometimes with a candle centrepiece, to create a real feature in the home. This can work particularly well with confit pots or a Castelnaudary urn, which both have a wonderful green glaze that immediately evokes a festive feeling.
We hope this post has inspired a few gift ideas or encouraged you to use your antiques for festive decoration. 2020 has been an incredibly unusual year but we hope that all of our customers will have a wonderful Christmas and a much better 2021.
