We found this 19th-century bath in a small village near Le Mans in northern France and thought it would make the perfect planter. It has a wooden frame( which we have treated with a wood preservative) around a copper bathtub complete with tap and grab handle! It has over the years developed a very attractive natural verdigris and when filled with plants it would make a real statement piece in any garden.¬†Part of Violet Grey’s collection of antique garden planters.
