Faux Bois Planters
Description
A gorgeous pair of faux bois planters in unusually good condition.
Faux bois means "false wood" and comes from a technique used since the Renaissance to imitate natural-looking wood. Craftsmen called "Rocailleurs" used materials including cement to create the effect and iron materials to form the shape.
Our pair is made from cement, with a glazed terracotta interior. Standing on four branch-like legs, these pots look wonderful planted and would be a superb addition to your conservatory, patio or balcony.
French circa 1920.
